How to Register for This Course
Using the course options on the right of your screen, select the district that aligns with the county listed in the map below. After selecting your district, click the add to cart button to finish the registration process. If this is your first time registering for this course, you will be asked to create an ID during the process. This ID will be used for future course registrations. If at any point you forget your ID or password, you can recover/reset it by using this web form.
After registering for the course, access to the modules can take up to 1 hour. The registration system syncs with the eLearning system (Canvas) at the top of every hour. You will receive a registration confirmation email with a link to your eLearning course dashboard. If you have any issues with registration, please email the UAB eLearning professional studies office.
The CoachSafely training course in injury recognition and prevention was designed to provide youth coaches the education they need to keep athletes aged 14 and under active, healthy and safe while meeting and exceeding the mandate of the State of Alabama’s 2018 Coach Safely Act (AL Code 2018-496). The course is comprehensive, evidence-based and peer-reviewed by the CoachSafely Foundation’s medical advisory board, led by Dr. James R. Andrews.
