POSTCARE Interventionist Training Protocol

POSTCare-O training provides an overview and training for the innovative POSTCare survivorship platform. In this training you will learn fundamentals of ovarian cancer and ovarian cancer survivorship.  You will learn and practice communication skills to prepare ovarian cancer survivors to actively manage their survivorship journey.  You will identify common symptom concerns in ovarian cancer survivorship and learn approaches to help survivors self-manage issues and know the red-flags for contacting a health care provider. At the completion of the training you have the opportunity to practice your skills with a trained POSTCare facilitator.  This activity is approved for 9 CEUs. 

 

Dr. Karen Meneses was a pioneering leader in nursing science who was passionate about mentoring the next generation of nursing leaders and survivorship scientists.  We do not charge for the CEUs this training provides, but if you are inclined to pay it forward please consider a small gift to the fund established at UAB School of Nursing in Karen's memory.
