WHOCC-001 - Quality Improvement in Nursing and Midwifery Educational Programs
A Three-Module Online Course for Lifelong-Learning
During a time of unprecedented change brought in by the COVID-19 pandemic, this self-directed course promotes a culture of life-long learning. Built on WHO nurse and midwife educator core competencies, the course consists of three sequential modules; key principles of teaching and learning, instructional strategies, and methods to evaluate students and courses. Regardless of where you are in your professional journey (a new graduate, a junior faculty or a seasoned educator), this introductory course is the foundation for improving the quality of educational outcomes.

How to Register for This Course
Using the course options on the right of your screen, select the section and click the add to cart button to finish the registration process. If this is your first time registering for this course, you will be asked to create an ID during the process. This ID will be used for future course registrations. If at any point you forget your ID or password, you can recover/reset it by using this web form.
After registering for the course, access to the modules can take up to 30 minutes. The registration system syncs with the eLearning system (Canvas) at the top of every hour. You will receive a registration confirmation email with a link to your eLearning course dashboard. If you have any issues with registration, please email the UAB eLearning professional studies office.
