0014 - Parent and Family Orientation

Welcome to UAB Parent and Family Orientation!

While we had hoped to welcome you to UAB in person, we are still very excited to introduce you to UAB in an online environment! This Canvas course will give you an overview of the information you need to help your student transition to UAB. Your student has a different Canvas course they are required to complete. This course is designed specifically for parents and family members and is completely optional, but we strongly encourage you to complete it! All of the modules can be viewed at your own pace and can be re-watched as many times as you wish.

NOTE: During the registration process, you will be asked to create a BlazerID. The confirmation email regarding the BlazerID creation does not indicate you are successfully registered for the course. You need to finish the checkout cart process before you are enrolled. You will receive an email receipt indicating you have been successfully enrolled in the course.There is about a one hour delay between the time that you register and when you will be enrolled in the course in Canvas. If you do not have access to Canvas in one hour and 15 minutes after registration, please contact prostudies@uab.edu;
